William Ziegler, Associate Professor of English, earned his B.A. from Bucknell
University, his M. A. from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and a Certificate of Advanced
Study from the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education. He has done
additional graduate study at Syracuse University, Clarion University of Pennsylvania, American University, and the University of Mary Washington.

Since joining Reynolds in 1993, he has participated in revamping the course offerings
for English as a Second Language (ESL) and in studying and refining the writing placement test
and procedures. His professional interests include ESL, composition, assessment, and
journalism. In May 2007 he became program head for English and developmental writing.   blue bar
